Brighton Long-Term Care Home

This five-storey, 256-bed long-term care home will support the region’s growing seniors population and advances local care infrastructure.

The design responds to a technically demanding site, with steep topography shaping how the building and landscape were integrated into the terrain. Access, parking, and site circulation follow the natural grade, creating an intuitive and fully accessible arrival experience. This approach preserves the site’s character and reduces long-term maintenance. Off-site servicing upgrades—including storm water, sanitary, water, and fire protection—were coordinated closely with municipal authorities to align with infrastructure goals and project timelines.

Once complete, the home will offer a welcoming environment that reflects clinical priorities, daily routines, and the lived experience of residents and families. The project demonstrates SRM’s ability to guide complex, municipally coordinated care developments from concept to construction with clarity and care.
